I'm Khoa Nguyen, an FXTD and Generalist who focuses on the beauty in destruction. My classroom wasn't a university, but the entire internet—I'm self-taught and love every byte of it.
WHAT I DO?
I navigate the entire post-production pipeline, but my true obsession lies in the technical trenches—building procedural FX and custom Houdini tools to create stunning visual effects.
HOW I DO IT?
I turn imagination to life using a wide range of industry standard software including Houdini, Nuke, Karma, Maya, Substance, Adobe Suite and many others in production environments.
WHERE AM I?
I call Vancouver home, though my journey began in beautiful Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. These days, you’ll find me working as a freelance 3D Generalist and FX Artist at Shirofx.
